Maggert earned his exemption to the PGA Tour by being the Player of the Year and leading money winner on the Hogan Tour that year with $108,644; the first player to surpass the $100,000 mark on the Hogan Tour ... Winner, 1980 Texas State Junior ... Named All-American at Texas A&M in 1986 ... Member of 1995, 1997 and 1999 Ryder Cup teams ... Only player with an albatross in the British Open (2001) and the Masters (1994).
